Storms forming over central and northern Kansas this evening and tonight will mainly be capable of large hail, but a brief tornado cannot be ruled out. The risk of severe weather will last as late as 3 AM in our viewing area before exiting into far eastern Kansas.

Tornadoes and 70 mph winds caused damage and outages across the Midwest as severe storms move toward the region with hail and tornado risk.

Leftover showers and storms have held together and will bring a threat for showers and isolated thunderstorms into the Triad through midday.
