Last Saturday marked 38 years since WGN’s tv signals were hijacked in the “Max Headroom” incident. On November 22nd, 1987 someone, dressed as “Max Headroom,” hacked into the signal at WGN and PBS.

Two Chicago television stations were interrupted by an alarming, profane and thoroughly odd pirate broadcast on November 22, 1987. And decades later, the people responsible have never been identified.
