Twenty-one years… I’m not sure why this number has been weighing on me more than others. As always, I have felt the date creeping closer and normally I mark it in quiet, personal remembrance but this year it feels heavier, more significant. Perhaps it’s because Lauren turns 21 next month? Whatever the reason, it has caused me to reflect on a chapter of my life that feels, at times, as though it belonged to someone else. Twenty-one years ago today, my life changed in ways I could never have imagi
