Always check the rockpools! I find an abundance of these gryphaea fossils - otherwise known as Devil’s Toenails. On the day I found this one I came home with over 30. They are a favourite of mine! They are a type of oyster that would likely have lived in large colonies in the Triassic and Jurassic period. You can often see them embedded in the rock bed at Lyme but remember not to dig them out - fossil hunting codes are there for a reason! #fossil #fossils #fossilhunter #fossilfinds #jurassiccoas
