Handel - Opera Julius Caesar (Va tacito e nascosto) - Janet Baker This is an English adaptation, lavishly produced for television in 1985 by the English National Opera under the direction of Sir Charles Mackerras. In this clip, the remarkable and stunning Dame Janet Baker (Mezzo-Soprano, portraying Caesar) performs the aria "How silently..."—originally "Va tacito e nascosto" in Italian.
