Last night, pianist Alexander Malofeev, conductor Xian Zhang, the New World Symphony, and the Master Chorale of South Florida delivered a breathtaking performance at the Adrienne Arsht Center! Audiences were captivated as the New World Symphony transported them through Wagner’s Tristan und Isolde, bringing to life the haunting, revolutionary “Tristan” chord that forever changed the world of music. Then, Holst’s The Planets filled the hall with an explosive energy, powered by the brilliance of 87
