Earlier today, Omaha Police responded to 67th & Pacific St. for an accident. The roadway collapsed, and two vehicles fell into a sinkhole just east of the intersection. Before first responders arrived, several bystanders jumped into action. They helped get the drivers out of their vehicles and to safety. Other bystanders directed traffic, and encouraged folks to back away from the area. Thank you so much to those who pitched in! You took the initiative to assist fellow Omahans. Chief Todd Schmad

6 Omaha police officers promoted to sergeant as department seeks more recruits

Here is more footage of the black smoke billowing from the former Victoria Police station in Sale this evening. More than 17 CFA (Country Fire Authority) trucks were called out to the fire, and crews are wearing breathing apparatus to fight the fire. Residents nearby are being told to close their windows and doors. There are road closures in place, and police are investigating the cause of the fire. | ABC Gippsland
