Shalom Aleichem means “peace be upon you.” It’s the song Jews around the world sing every week to welcome Shabbat. Daniella Gilboa was held hostage for 477 days. Her captors forbade her from singing in Hebrew, so each Shabbat, she sang Shalom Aleichem in Arabic. There are still 59 hostages in Gaza. We continue to pray for their safe return.
